Dave Black - Canyoneering Master Guide

CANYONEERING COURSES

Learning with a Master Guide

All courses are taught by Rappel Maui manager Dave Black who has been teaching canyoneering, climbing, guiding and Wilderness First Aid courses on the U.S. mainland and overseas for almost 40 years. He was an active participant in pioneering certification programs in the American mountain and canyon guiding industry (certified ACA, APMGA, and ACGA). A long-time professional firefighter/paramedic, he has worked as a trainer and consultant in more than a dozen countries in the field of Emergency Management and Outdoor Adventure.

The photos of tall waterfalls shown are not of canyons that you will experience during these courses. They are places on Maui that may be accessible to non-commercial canyoneers. Rappel Maui trains students on smaller waterfalls in our private valley.
